Over 120 members and supporters
joined us at the beautiful TradeWinds Island Resort for our 2010 Annual
State Conference.
We heard from Nadine Smith - Equality Florida, Jane Castor - Tampa Police Chief, Erin Matson - NOW Action VP, Barbara DeVane - FLNOW Lobbyist, Kendrick Meek - Candidate for US Senate, Rick Minor - Candidate for Florida House, Patricia Ireland - Former NOW President, and the Tampa Bay Human-Trafficking Taskforce.
Two new board members from the SE region were elected. Donna Slutiak and Toni Van Pelt were chosen to represent the SE region at the National Board Meetings. Toni is now our SE Regional Director. Congratulations to you both!

Proposed Bylaw Change: A proposed bylaw change was brought before the council on May 3, 2010. This bylaw change was accepted and referred by Council to the next State Conference where it will be voted on by membership. Read full text here.
